In May 2018, Adam Kornowski, a fourth grader at Lakeside Elementary School in Minnesota, took the stage at a local talent contest, little knowing he’d suddenly become an internet celebrity and his act would go viral with millions of views online.
The 10-year-old, who has been playing the piano since the age of five, chose to perform John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Only one of the finest tunes ever written.
It’s incredible how a song can still have such an emotional effect after so many years. And Adam, the young man, did it proud.
Michelle, his ecstatic mother said on Facebook that there wasn’t a single parent in the room who didn’t cry by the end. He received a standing ovation, and the applause lasted indefinitely! A woman approached her and said she would buy it on iTunes if she got it out there!! She like his bow at the end…so courteous.
